What's involved in getting a web site up and running? − The process of a site creation can be broken down into five broad categories:

  • Planning (we will work though this with you)
  • Design and construction (we will handle this for you)
  • Domain Name registration (If you don't have a domain we will help you choose a great one and register it)
  • Hosting (we offer several options based on your needs)
  • Promotion (This can be your job or ours we offer full service web promotion options)

We can work through the entire process with you.  We see web development as a team effort between the client and the company.  Generally the client will work with one of our consultants during the planning stage and the client will be responsible for writing the text for their web site.  Just about everything else is handled by ProvideTechnology's development and marketing team.

How much is this going to cost me? − Unlike most companies our pricing is very strait forward for the vast majority of clients and is broken down into four categories.  Some extreme custom work may require custom pricing but 95% of our clients pick one of the four options below.

Category OneBasic Package - We develop your sites core for you (4-5 pages) and then upload your site to an online editor.  You take it from there with our support.  We will provide you an hour of training from our technical staff on using your online editor and of course we are available for support any time; however, with this option you will need to do some work on your site if you want more then the basic 4-5 page website.  Cost of this option is $495 for the design with a $20 monthly hosting fee for your online editor and web hosting.

Category Two - Enhance Package - This option is for full development of your site from 5 - 25 pages and it is the option many mid size business clients choose.  You choose your design layout and provide us the text.  We then build your site to completion.  This option includes photos and some custom work such as access to 80,000 photos on photos.com through our account, free one time submission to the major search engines and more.  Cost of this option is $995 for the design with a $20 monthly hosting fee for your online editor and web hosting.

Category Three - Enhanced Design and Marketing Package - This option includes the complete  development in Category 2 along with full online marketing of your web site.  Some of the marketing we provide you includes

  • Monthly Submission to all Major Search Engines
  • One press release submitted to 60,000 plus on and offline media contacts with direct inclusion of your press release with Google and Inktomi (Inktomi feeds major engines such as MSN Search, Hotbot and more).
  • Guaranteed 48 hour inclusion of your new Website in the Inktomi Data Base which will get you into AOL, MSN, Hotbot, Overture, iWon and all Inktomi Partners within two days of submission.
  • Custom Meta Tagging on all your web pages (Not just your home page)
  • We review your text and make minor changes to optimize search engine response
  • And much more

Total cost for this option is $175 a month and that DOES include your site design work there are no additional charges.  This cost will be effective for the first 12 months and will then drop to only 75 dollars a month for on going marketing, site submission and support.  Again there are no additional charges for this package everything including hosting is included.  When you consider that many people will charge you 500 dollars or more for a press release alone that will not be directly spooled into Google and Inktomi and that a 995 dollar design is included as well it becomes clear that this package is our best value.

Category Four - Ecommerce Catalog Based Sites - This option is for clients that want to sell many products online via ecommerce.  This is really a site that amounts an online catalog of products that are provided from a data base maintained by the client.  This type of site requires a lot of additional consultation during the planning stage.  Ecommerce sites run about $1495 for the vast majority of clients and hosting is generally about 50 dollars a month.  We can combine this option with the marketing in option three on an as needed basis.

How many pages do I need? − This really comes down to the message or information you want to convey effectively. The answer to this question lies with the nature of your site. It could range from 1 to more than 100 pages although each and every page must have a clear purpose. A typical product or service selling site should generally consist (as a minimum) of the following pages:

  • Home Page
  • Profile or About Us (who you are, what you do, etc.)
  • Main marketing page (what makes you different, what you offer, etc)
  • FAQ (answers to Frequently Asked Questions)
  • Pricing and or services
  • Contact information
  • Feedback and or an order form

What if I just want one page? − Absolutely no problem. In fact, we strongly suggest to get at least one page online to achieve a web presence. While you'll likely need more pages in order for your site to become effective, we will help you develop a plan to accommodate this. Start small but do start now!  The cost of this option is about 100 dollars a year.

I've seen free web page makers, why pay a designer? − First it is important to understand that the two biggest reasons that web sites fail to make money for there owners are

1.  They fail to attract traffic
2.  When they are visited by prospect they do not present a professional image or do not "flow well" and take to long for prospects or customers to find the information they are looking for.

These two factors alone cost many companies thousands of dollars in lost revenue.  Our approach helps you to prevent that revenue loss.  Additionally we provide a great deal of value in the planning stage that goes far beyond typical site building.  For more information on this subject please read our philosophy on building a Total Internet Portfolio.

Further online site builders do offer some great advantages.  Chief among them are the ability to keep your site fresh and current and to do simple updates on your own.  The key is to insure that the site is built properly in the beginning.  We offer you the best of both worlds.  We will build you a custom site with professional design and "flow" and they will upload your custom site into an online site editor for you.  Then we provide you training on how to use it and provide you support for it as well.

This approach will guarantee you a professional site, one that is optimized for search engines, access to our marketing program and still lets you keep costs down and keep your site current.  Our approach is designed to help you make money and that is the best reason there is to do business with us.

What is the best thing I can do to ensure my site is successful? There are really three key things to do to insure a successful website.

1.  Insure that your pages are search engine friendly with effective meta tags and the use of a site map.

2.  Insure your site presents a very professional image and that it flows well for visitors.

3.  NEVER, EVER let your site stagnate.  Keep it fresh.  Have a company news section and update offerings and specials etc.  Keep contact information current and basically add some additional material to your site every month.

ProvideTechnology sees this as a team effort.  We will take care of steps 1 and 2 as we plan and develop your site with you.  You will take care of step 3 with our support and training.  Step three not being done is what kills many really good sites.  We show you how to do this at no additional cost and just a little time.  Consider us your designer, marketing firm and consultant all in one.

How long will it take to have a page or site completed? − For the vast majority of clients we deliver work in less then one week.  In some cases it will take a bit longer for custom requirements but most will be delivered in far less then a week.  Once you approve your final site we launch the marketing at once if your package includes marketing.  Total time of your project is based mostly on how long it takes you to prepare your text and select your site lay out and basic design structure.

I already have a page/site, can you help me improve it? − We sure can.  We will assess your site for free and advise you as to what's most needed improve your site.  This is often referred to as a web site tune up.  Most often we end up moving the majority of content into one of our custom designed sites. During that process we help you update content, add content, meta tag all pages and then empower you to have control over your site.

I'm not located near you, is this going to be a problem? − Not at all!  We work extensively with clients in our local market but we also have clients all over the US.  We give a client in Texas or California the same attention and dedication that we deliver to the Philadelphia and Allentown Pennsylvania market we call home.

Will it cost me anything to get an estimate from you? − We don't charge for an estimate and feel you are a valued potential client and entitled to a free estimate as such.   Just contact us anytime our consultations are always free of any charge.

[Top of page]

How do I know you can accommodate all my needs? − We maintain a core design team and have relationships with other designers as well.  We can assist clients with 98% or more of all web development projects.  In the unlikely event that you have a specific requirement beyond the scope of our ability we will gladly refer you to a specialized designer who can meet your needs.  We pledge to always put our clients first even if that means referring business out on an occasion or two.
